Caricatures on Bastille Day, London
I was hired to work for three hours at the Borough Market in Central London last weekend to help celebrate Bastille day. I was a bit concerned that since there was so much going on in the area that people wouldn’t really notice me. I needn’t have worried as I worked solidly for three hours with a constant queue of people. I was dreading telling people that I had to finish but they were all great about it. Maybe it’s the difference between civilised French people who were there to enjoy something for free and the usual UK crowd who usually bitch & whine about standing in the queue for an hour only to find that I was ‘buggering off’ before I could draw them!
