General Bookings Terms and Conditions

  1. This contract is issued to confirm a booking already agreed verbally or by email, which will be deemed accepted and may not be cancelled by either. Failure to sign and return the Contract is not sufficient to cancel the existing legal and binding verbal agreement.
  2. In the event of any non-fulfillment of this Contract, the level of liability to the Client or Performer is limited to a maximum of the fee stated in this Contract. Contractual disputes must be notified in writing within seven days of event.
  3. Any cancellation by the Client must be notified by telephone and in writing as soon as possible. Any cancellation will incur a cost of 25% of agreed fee. If the cancellation has less than 8 weeks notice then 50% of the fee is payable, if the cancellation has less than 6 weeks notice then 75% of the fee is payable and if the cancellation has less than 4 weeks notice then 100% of the fee is payable. Any amendments and postponements of the event must be confirmed in writing and may incur extra costs.
  4. The Performer does not request any deposit prior to the event but does insist that the Client pays the Performer one week before the event by bank transfer. Late payment will result in a surcharge of 1% of total fee per day overdue.
  5. If the contractually specified start time given by the Client to John’s performance is delayed for whatever reason then the completion time of his performance will remain the same as that specified.
  6. It is agreed and understood that any parking fees incurred by the artist at the event will be reimbursed by the client.
  7. It is agreed and understood that soft drinks will be made available to the artist, free of charge, throughout the event
  8. In the event of the Performer being unable to fulfill this contract due to illness or accident the Performer will undertake to provide where possible a replacement artiste of a similar standard to the Performer.
  9. Extensions to this Contract by way of additions and re-schedules involving increases in performance times and other labour charges are subject to additional fees to be agreed as amendments and confirmed in writing prior to execution.
  10. In the event of supplying digital caricatures the performer cannot guarantee that the electronic equipment used will not fail during the performance. If this occurs then the performer will try to revert to pen and paper.
