Urban Sketchers, Manchester
I joined a lovely group of like-minded people and spent two hours sketching in the Centre of Manchester. Now I should say at this point that I was suffering from a bad chest cold and two hours in draughty Manchester (although miraculously dry!) isn’t a brilliant combination with said cold. So, the first place I headed for was St Ann’s church in the square and I sat in the warm to draw the interior. I then braved the big outdoors and drew an arcade, a couple of statues and a bit of a skyline. When I got home I’d forgotten that we had a town planning consultative meeting to go to so I drew that as well!
